St. Martins Way – Dover to Shepherdswell

Setting off on a new pilgrimage route, the St. Martins Way (Dover to Canterbury) on 24/04/2023, I leave the harbour & walk along the River Dour reflecting on the events of recent months and the concept of pilgrimage. Walking through fields surrounded by sheep I enjoy the joys of Spring before arriving in Shepherdswell where the trail converges with the Via Francigena.

The Greatstone Shingle Trail

During a walk along the Shingle Trail in Greatstone, Romney Marsh, Kent on 14/08/2021 I enjoy the solitude and beauty of being in nature.  I also reflect on the aftermath of the pandemic following a recent announcement made on the United Kingdom’s freedom day.  I finish the walk on the beach before reuniting with my young son Edison.

Sanity in a World of Madness

Whilst taking a stroll along Winchelsea Beach on 09/11/20, I update on the recent US election, the plight of minks in Denmark and comment how Covid-19 has affected my travel and birthday plans. Later, my son Edison enjoys the low tide.

Face Masks & Family Fun

Whilst on holiday with my son Edison at Camber Sands I update how face masks will soon be mandatory in shops and enjoy some family fun on the beach.
