North Downs Way – Farnham to Oxted Pilgrimage

Leaving Farnham on 25/06/2025 I start the long distance walking trail the ‘North Downs Way’.

Heading through countryside and woodland I reflect on pilgrimage and my reasons for the trek, taking in the sites along the way. As well as updating on my wild camping escapades I marvel at the views from St Martha’s Church, refresh in the River Mole at Dorking and delight at the Millennium Stones in Gatton Park.

The video concludes with my arrival at Oxted on 27/06/2025 where I reflect on my pilgrimage experience so far.

Reflections in a Winter Wonderland

Taking a countryside walk surrounded by snow near Ashford, in Kent, on 13/12/2022 I reflect on the differences this year following the previous two Christmases impacted by Covid-19, and how in many ways, because of the ongoing uncertainty with Russia/Ukraine, nothing has changed.

The Royal Saxon Way – Lyminge to Breach

Setting off from Lyminge along the Royal Saxon Way on 02/11/22 I walk through the tranquil, livestock fields of the Elham Valley. As I progress, I update on the new British Prime Minister and the gloomy circumstances of a hybrid war with Russia; before mulling over the future options to continue my pilgrimage.

Augustine Camino: Preston to Ramsgate

Starting my sixth (and final day) on the Camino Augustine pilgrimage along the banks of the River Stour, on 13/06/2022  I progress through the fertile fields of Kent and experience the peace of Pegwell Bay.  Along the journey I ponder a forthcoming recession, Rwanda and the meaning of Pilgrimage before arriving at St. Augustines Abbey, Ramsgate and collecting my Compostela certificate.
